Intro:

“May you live in interesting times.” -Ancient Chinese curse

Whoever uttered that curse aeons ago would have delighted in casting their foes forth into the world of today – for we live in the most interesting times as of yet. Though, whether this is a privilege or curse will only be revealed as we approach the final act.

While I am aware of the possibilities for dystopian collapse, what I aim to convey is a hopeful image, as there is plenty of doom-speak to go around. Though, if you’re looking for certainty amidst the chaos, I can’t offer you that. No one truly can. At the end of the day, I’m just another confused human trying to make sense of this strangest of circumstances.

My goal is to analyze our situation and ultimately explore where this can be headed and how it can get there - assuming it is going anywhere at all, and that we don’t self-terminate.

So with uncertainties/risks fully in mind - I will be focusing on exploring ideas, skills, tools, and technologies that empower, help connect people to life, and potentially aid in resolving what has been termed “the Metacrisis.” And my explorations have provided me with some reason to hope.

The keyword here is hope.
